ALSA (Universal Treiber fuer Soundkarten) fuer OS/2 ist in Arbeit.
Achim Hasenmueller nam an einer Discussion ueber universelle Treiber fuer OS/2 teil und schrieb (14 feb, 2002):
"We had this idea over a year ago and we are working on this. The result will (or should be - can't speak for them) available as an IBM branded and supported OS/2 driver update. It's not based on OSS. It's based on ALSA which is the "real" open sound architecture and as of 2.5, also part of the Linux kernel."

TeX fuer eComStation
Stalker bietet einen port von MikTex nach eComStation an.
Dieses TeX ist fertig zu benutzung nach der Installation, es ist mit einen netten DIV-viewer ausgestattet, etc. Es arbeitet nun auch mit Odin, aber eine original version waere passender.

Im Februar ist es wieder soweit:
vom 20. - 24.02.2002, jeweils von von 9:00 - 18:00 Uhr ist Team OS/2 Deutschland e.V. wieder auf der HobbyTronic Computerschau in den Dortmunder Westfalenhallen vertreten. Diesmal sind wir in Halle 4 am Stand 4210 zu finden.
Es werden wie gewohnt aktuelle Informationen und Hilfe rund um OS/2 und eComStation geboten und diverse Software präsentiert. Insbesondere zeigen wir unter anderem die eComStation, die aktuelle Betaversion des Internet
Assistenten und von Freitag bis Sonntag Funklan-Technik mit Hardware von Artem - Besucher von Warpstock Europa 2000 in Karlsruhe errinnern sich vielleicht, dass Artem dort ausgestellt hat und ein halbes Jahr später OS/2 Treiber verfügbar waren. Und wir zeigen euch, wie es funktioniert. |
